ToggleHotel Stays in Sea Point and Green Point
These neighbourhoods are our favourites for hotel stays because they offer both beach and city experiences. Sea Point is located right by the ocean and is known for its lengthy promenade, which is perfect for walking or jogging. We’ve spent many wonderful days in this trendy area with exceptional sunset views. Sea Point seamlessly transitions into Green Point, a lively recreational area separated from the water by the park of the same name. The area is ideal for people attending events or shows at the world-famous Greenpoint stadium. For example, Robbie Williams will be performing his Calabash show there on the 22nd of January 2025. The best part about the Green Point area is that it is within very close proximity of the V&A Waterfront.
Pros:
- Close to the city center and the V&A Waterfront.
- It is the ideal location for people attending events at the Green Point Stadium
- Beautiful promenade for relaxing coastal walks (from Sea Point to the V&A Waterfront).
- Wide selection of restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets.
Cons:
- Certain areas of Sea Point can be less safe, especially at night.
- The area can be very noisy, particularly hotels near the main roads.
Safety in Sea Point and Green Point:
- Very safe during the day, but caution is advised at night, especially when walking in the back roads.
