Ladies Small Group Tours: FAQs

General Travel Questions
Q1: Why do you focus on luxury travel?
Who doesn’t want to feel like royalty on vacation? We believe life is too short for mediocre hotels, crowded beaches, and uncomfortable flights. Our travel blog is all about curating experiences that elevate your journey and pamper your senses.
Luxury isn’t just about indulgence – it’s about finding those moments that leave you awestruck, like a safari in Africa or exploring picturesque wine farms in Cape Town.
Travel broadens your horizons, and we’re here to make every step of the way unforgettable.
Q2: Why small group tours?
A: Small groups mean big fun and zero stress! Most of our tours are limited to six ladies. This allows you to from strong bonds with like-minded ladies who love travelling.
Think of it as travelling with friends you haven’t met yet, led by experienced travel guides (that’s us!) who know the ropes.
Whether it’s Cape Town’s vibrant vibe, cultural experiences in Kwa-Zulu Natal, up-close encounters with elephants, meerkats, whales or ostriches, or breathtaking viewpoints on the Garden Route. Our small groups let you experience the world authentically – and hey, we promise no awkward tour-bus karaoke (unless you want to, in which case, Bernie might join).
Q3: Can you really travel AND work full-time? Isn’t that exhausting?
A: Exhausting? Only if you don’t plan it right! We’re proof that you can combine Zoom calls with sipping coffee in a Paris café. With tips like our “checklists for Europe and South Africa”, you can plan your travel without falling behind on work. Plus, the thrill of exploring new places keeps you energized.
Forget retirement – adventure is happening now.
Q4: How do I pack for a trip without looking like a tourist?
A: First, ditch the “I ♥ Paris” t-shirt. Europe loves a classical, practical style. However, in Africa, think of layers to deal with unpredictable weather conditions, comfy walking shoes, pack natural colours for safari, and always take a costume and leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
Don’t be like Bernie and buy an extra suitcase on every trip.
Interestingly, Bernie loves buying souvenirs from every place we visit for her display cupboard.

Q5: What’s the craziest thing that’s happened on one of your travels?
A: Oh, where to start? There are so many funny moments as we have been travelling together for the last 10 years.
There was that time a curious elephant almost joined our Kruger picnic and when Petra accidentally led us to an off-the-beaten-path (authentic) bakery in Portugal that turned out to be a Michelin-starred gem.
One of our favourite (funniest) moments was when Petra’s GPS guided us to the top of a castle in Portugal (where experienced mountain climbers would find it difficult to walk).
Nevertheless, we often say travel is about the stories (and mishaps) we create along the way, which we’ll laugh about one day – and we have plenty of those hilarious stories to share with our grandchildren (one day)!
Q6: What are the must-visit destinations in Europe for 2025?
