My family and I travelled to Cape Town.  We stayed at the Station House, one of their recommended destinations, and loved the view.  Next to the Hotel is a Pick-a-Pay Express.  We enjoyed a cocktail at Sonny and Irene. We had dinner at The Nines, a rooftop restaurant with a view. The beach is within walking distance.  We did a few early morning walks along the promenade.  We visited V & A Waterfront with so many shops to choose from.  We wanted to do a sunset cruise, but it was fully booked; we had to book well in advance, as you suggested. We will surely use your website for any future travel plans.
