Day 1: Arrive in Durban – Beach & City Vibes

Durban is the third-largest city in South Africa. It is known for its stunning beaches, warm subtropical climate, warm ocean water, and rich cultural diversity. The city has one of the largest concentrations of the Indian population, which has significantly influenced its identity, food, religion, and businesses. The Indians established their rich cultural heritage by introducing spices, temples, and festivals to the Durban region.

Drive: Durban Airport → Durban Beachfront, known as the Golden Mile. 

Must-do activities on Durban Beach front:

  • Explore the Zulu culture and heritage by visiting Shakaland.
  • Enjoy a welcome cocktails at the Lighthouse Rooftop Bar at the Oyster Box

Day 3: Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve 

Drive: Umhlanga to Hluhluwe Impolozi Game Reserve

Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is a Big Five Game Reserve in the KwaZulu Natal region of South Africa. It is also the oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa. The reserve consists of 96,000 hectares of wilderness in Zululand.

Must-do activities at Hluhluwe Game Reserve:

  • Boat safari on St Lucia Estuary (hippos & crocodiles)
  • Sundowners at our safari lodge

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi

Day 5: Hluhluwe → St. Lucia – Beach & Wildlife

St Lucia is known as the hippo capital of South Africa. At night, hippos roam the streets of the town. Cape Vidal is about 30 km from St. Lucia and lies within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

Drive: St Lucia (where hippos roam the streets in the evenings) and Cape Vital

  • Explore Cape Vidal Beach (snorkelling & dunes)
