In the first week of our trip, we go on safari and visit some of the best game reserves South Africa has to offer. In the second week, we fly to Cape Town. Here, we enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences and off-the-beaten-path settings.

We invite you to be our travel buddy on this trip. Petra is our German-speaking travel guide and Bernie is our local expert. This tour, designed for ladies, blends the untamed beauty of the Kruger National Park with the cosmopolitan charm of Cape Town.

12-day Itinerary for the Kruger National Park and Cape Town
Our Kruger and Cape Town tour promises up-close Big Five encounters, breathtaking landscapes and stylish accommodations.
We prioritise relaxing beach days, enriching wildlife encounters, and exceptional culinary experiences.
*Please note that the order of stays and activities may change at the discretion of the tour guides (Petra and Bernie). To give you the best experience at each location, we consider weather conditions for each activity and, therefore, may move activities around. None of our tours are identical!
A day before the trip starts: Arrive in Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport.
Day 1: Pick up from the tour starting point hotel. To be announced.
Johannesburg, also known as the City of Gold, is a vibrant metropolis and the capital of Gauteng Province. It is also the starting point of our Kruger and Cape Town trip. To make provision for late arrivals or delays, all guests need to arrive a day before the trip starts in Johannesburg. We can make suggestions of things to do in Johannesburg on the day of arrival. Drive: From the pick up hotel (starting point) to the Kruger National Park. We start early morning to enter the Kruger National Park by mid-day.
- The tour starts with a pick-up at your hotel (to be announced a month before the trip) .
- Meet your travel buddies, Bernie and Petra, upon arrival.
- Drive to Kruger National Park.
- Enjoy lunch enroute.
- Check into Camp for two nights.
Day 2: Game Viewing in the Kruger National Park

- Leave camp early for our first morning game drive.
- Brunch at a selected picnic spot.
- Swimming at camping or just relaxing in your bungalow.
- Dinner around our camp fire.
- Stay: A selected main camp in the Kruger National Park.
Day 3: Private Game Reserve
Drive: From our camp in Kruger to a private game reserve nearby
- Enjoy Brunch at lodge.
- Late afternoon game drive.
Day 4: Private Game Reserve
- Enjoy a morning game drive
- Do a local community visit
- Boma dinner
Day 5: The Panorama Route
We explore the Panorama Route. We suggest reading our article: “Guesthouses close to Phalaborwa” to find out what and where the Panorama Route is.
Drive: Blyde River Canyon
- Surprise Activity.
- Visit some iconic places (God’s Window and/or Three Rondawels.
- Stay at our Secret Location.
- River Cruise in the Blyde River Canyon.
- Group dinner at the lodge.
Day 6: Fly to Cape Town
Cape Town is known as the Mother City and has been voted several times the best city in the world. We visit many iconic landmarks and also take you to several secret locations—locals are hesitant to share because they fear an influx of tourists. If you promise not to tell, we will take you there!
Drive: Blyde River to airport.
- Breakfast at the lodge.
- Leave after breakfast and make our way to the Airport.
- We stop for lunch along the route at a typical small South African town.
- Catch our late afternoon flight to Cape Town to start our next adventure.
- Evening: Arrive at our hotel in Cape Town.
- Enjoy a welcome snack upon arrival.
Day 7: Explore Cape Town

Must-do activities in Cape Town:
- Table Mountain with Cable Car (weather permitting)
- V&A Waterfront (shopping & exploring)
- A typical South African market
- Walk the Camps Bay strip or enjoy some beach time
- Group Dinner: Camps Bay
Day 8: We explore Cape Town
- Drive along the world-renowned Chapman’s Peak Drive
- Get up close to penguins in Boulders Beach
- Shopping in Kalk Bay
- Special dinner.
Day 9: Wine Farm Hopping
Drive: Bloubergstrand → Selected wine farms
- Rupert Wine Farm visit with VIP experience.
- Visit the Franschhoek Motor Museum.
- Afternoon Beach Walk and sundowners at a secluded beach in Melkbosstrand
- Dinner (not included): We can make recommendations and book a restaurant of your choice, or you may wish to enjoy dinner at a restaurant near our hotel.
Day 10: Bo-Kaap and surroundings
Walking Tour in Cape Town City Centre
- We participate in a walking tours around Cape Town to explore some of the most significant sights and attractions.
- Lunch near Bo-Kaap
- Special Evening Dinner in Cape Town City Bowl.
Day 11: Langebaan
Langebaan is a coastal town about 120km from Cape Town. It has a magnificent beach and inland lagoon ideal for boating activities. The area is birders’ paradise with more than 250 bird species.
The West Coast National Park is set against the backdrop of the azure lagoon. There are many hiking and mountain biking routes, although one should be on the lookout for Cape Cobras, particularly amongst the Fynbos.
Drive: Bloubergstrand → Langebaan
- Explore the West Coast National Park.
- Enjoy a picnic on the seaside in West Coast National Park (secret location).
- Swim at Kraalbaai.
- Early dinner in Langebaan before driving back to our hotel in Sunset Beach.
Day 12: Tour Group Farewell
Drive: Bloubergstrand → Cape Town International Airport
- Tour ends just after breakfast.
- We depart from Cape Town International Airport and fly home after an unforgettable holiday.
- Members who have a late evening flight can do a helicopter trip over Cape Town. (POR), or Tandem Paraglide from Signal Hill (POR), or any other activity that we can assist in making the necessary arrangements for you.
What is included:
- Local flights (i.e. Johannesburg to Cape Town)
- All transport to places on the itinerary.
- Two nights stay in the Kruger National Park.
- Two nights stay at a private game reserve with game drives on open vehicle.
