We visited Sediba Luxury Safari lodge for the first time in February 2021 for Bernie’s 50th birthday. She booked out the entire Rock Lodge to celebrate with friends and family. In February 2022, we visited again with Petra’s daughter Silja and her friend Pia. We showed them the best luxury game lodge in the Welgevonden Game reserve (Sediba), toured the Whale Route and visited the Kruger National Park (by self-drive). We know this is the best itinerary for a first time visit to South Africa. South Africa was love at first sight for the girls. However, Sediba was by far the highlight of their two-week visit to South Africa.

Large private suites with exceptional views
We love large, well-appointed suites with beautiful balcony or patio views, and as a bonus a bath with a spectacular view of nature scenery.

Rock Lodge and Mountain Lodge at Sediba
Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge is in a Big 5 game known as the Welgevonden Game Reserve. The Lodge consists of two lodges, Mountain lodge and Rock lodge. The lodges consist of fifteen private luxury villas in total. Rock and mountain lodge’s suites each have a private jacuzzi on a secluded wooden deck. Although, both lodges can host large groups, Mountain lodge is ideal for a full-take over.
Both lodges are ideal as a wedding venue because it allows guests to spend quality time with the bride and groom during the wedding weekend.
Twice daily game drives at Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge
The lodges offer two game drives daily, one early morning and one late afternoon. The game rangers are extremely knowledgeable and will do anything to make your game-viewing experience as pleasurable as possible.
We have been on several game drives with different rangers, such as Fanie, Jacob and Moyo, and one could not be more knowledgeable, polite or courteous than the other.
