What is the weather like in winter in the Kruger National Park?

From April to October, the dry season welcomes visitors with open arms. During this time, the landscape becomes ‘flatter’ and more open, offering increased visibility, especially in the vast grassy areas of the south. The dry winter months are best for game viewing due to the shorter grass, lack of foliage and limited water, forcing the wildlife to concentrate around the remaining waterholes. With average temperatures ranging from a minimum of 9 degrees to a maximum of 28 degrees in August, it’s the perfect time to explore and immerse yourself in Africa’s wonders.
